Crooks caught in CCTV

On the afternoon of May 1, miscreants tried to rob a businessman’s house in Mohalla Krishna Tola of Sasni Gate police station area of Aligarh metropolis. The miscreants, who entered the house posing as AC mechanics, took the businessman’s wife at pistol point and tried to strangulate her. The daughter-in-law present in the room showed courage and made noise. Seeing the people of the locality gathering, the miscreants ran away. On information, police also reached the spot and checked the nearby CCTV cameras. During this time, four miscreants were seen running away in two vehicles. The police have started searching for them.
Rakesh Verma of Krishna Tola has a shop selling jewelery boxes at Phool intersection. He himself sits at the shop with his son Ankit. During the day, his wife Radha and daughter-in-law Shivani stay at home. Ankit went from home to the shop at around two in the afternoon. Shortly after this, at around 2:30 a young man knocked at the door. When Radha opened the door, the young man introduced himself as an AC repairman.
When Radha said that she would not do such a thing, the young man along with his two-three friends forcibly entered the house and as soon as he came inside, he pointed the pistol at Radha. Together they started strangling Radha with a towel hanging in the house. When Radha raised an alarm on this, Shivani present in the kitchen of the house understood the scene. She somehow reached the side room outside the kitchen and made noise while peeping out into the street. Along with this he also locked himself in the room. Hearing this noise, people nearby started gathering. The miscreants fled on a scooter and a Pulsar bike.
